Seeing a Condor in person and up close is so cool! I’ve been fortunate to have volunteered and work closely with these birds and they are cool to see every time.

This piece is inspired by the times I’ve seen them flying around just before roosting for the night!

Did you know the California Condor was nearly extinct because of lead poisoning? Though they are still a Critically Endangered species they were brought back from the brink of extinction. The main cause of death is still lead poisoning. Learn more about how to protect these amazing birds and other animals that eat carrion.
